Unistar-Sparco Computers, Inc. is pleased to announce that it received an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract, number DOC50PAPT1200076, for General Information Technology (IT) Equipment from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The contract is for a one-year base period with four one-year option periods for a possible total period of performance of five years with a maximum value of ten million dollars per year.
The contract encompasses IT hardware, software licenses, maintenance and related services. "Unistar-Sparco looks forward to supporting the IT needs of the USPTO," said Company President Soo-Tsong Lim. "Our new building addition will allow us to serve the entire United States government with the full range of IT product needs."

Unistar-Sparco Computers, Inc. Expands Headquarters Facility
June 25, 2012 - Millington, Tennessee - Unistar-Sparco Computers, Inc. announces plans to expand their headquarters in Millington. The IT Solution Provider will break ground on Friday, June 29th, to mark the beginning of construction of an expansion to their warehouse and office space. According to Mr. Soo-Tsong Lim, President of Unistar-Sparco, the needed expansion is due to the growth of their customer base.
"We are grateful to all of our customers, in the U.S. and abroad, for helping us to grow and thus require this additional space," said Mr. Lim. "Growth in a time of economic uncertainty is an excellent affirmation to all the employees of Unistar-Sparco that we are serving our customers well."
The 5,200 square foot expansion was designed by architect Jeff Blackledge and will be built by Grinder-Haizlip Construction Company. The cost of the entire project is estimated at $500,000.

Annual List Ranks North America's Top 500 Technology Integrators
June 21, 2012-Millington, TN - Unistar-Sparco Computers, Inc. announced today that they have been ranked 387th on this year's Channel Reseller Network.s (CRN) Solution Provider 500 list. While proud of being ranked on the top 500 list, this year's ranking means even more as Unistar-Sparco Computers, Inc. moved up from last year's 423rd. The improvement in ranking reflects the positive feedback of satisfied customers and vendor partners.
The Solution Provider 500 ranking is based on revenue size, and considers each company's forward-thinking approach to the channel. With "An Artful Evening in Paris"
June 14, 2012 - Millington, Tennessee - Unistar-Sparco Computers, Inc. held its 6th annual Knowledge is Power (KIP) Technology Fair on Tuesday, June 12th 2012. Held at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, the event was the highlight of the season.
The event brought together guests and Information Technology (IT) industry experts together for a night of entertainment and education, designed to present the newest technologies available on the market. Cutting-edge products and solutions by AdTran, Canon, IBM, and Kaspersky Lab were featured at presentations during the event. Featured booths by AdTran, Canon, IMC, Kaspersky Lab and Lenovo were also present. In addition to presentations and tabletop displays, guests were treated to a night of art, music, and live entertainment. The event also hosted a special teddy bear building station, where customers built 100 teddy bears that were donated to two top Memphis based organizations that serve families in need in the midsouth: The Memphis Family Shelter and Porter-Leath Children Services.

GSA Multiple Award Schedule Blanket Purchase Agreements
May 11, 2012 - Millington, Tennessee - Unistar-Sparco Computers, Inc. announced today that the United States General Services Administration (GSA) National Information Technology Commodity Program (NITCP) has awarded the firm two Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) . one for Computer Tablets and Accessories (contract number GS-26F-AA003) and the second for Mobile Solutions Equipment (contract number GS-26F-AA004).
The Mobile Solutions Equipment contract encompasses Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Telephones, Headsets, and Web Cameras. The Computer Tablets and Accessories contract encompasses standard tablets and ruggedized tablets. Both categories fall under Special Item Number (SIN) 132-8, Purchase of New Equipment, within Schedule 70, General Purpose Commercial Information Technology Equipment, Software, and Services.
Each contract has a period of performance of one base year and two one year options and will help to further reduce the administrative costs of acquiring commercial items for public sector customers who utilize the GSA's MAS acquisition vehicles and the end result is to create a purchasing mechanism for the Government that works better and costs less.
