Unistar-Sparco Computers, Inc. announced today that Memphis City Schools (MCS) presented the firm with special recognition for stellar customer service at the Mid-South Minority Business Council (MMBC) event. Every month, the MMBC holds a general membership meeting hosted by one of its corporate members. This month.s sponsor was Memphis City Schools (MCS) who gave tribute to Unistar-Sparco for its superior customer service. Gwen Johnson, IT Procurement Specialist, was quoted saying, "[I] always reached a live person for help." Ms. Johnson also said, "...pricing and delivery were great."

The MMBC integrated "On-the-Spot Bidding" into its April membership meeting. This feature afforded MCS the opportunity to name winning vendors that will be awarded purchase orders for proposals that were recently bid on. The Director of Procurement, Jacqueline Saunders, issued several on-the-spot purchase orders to select businesses. Unistar-Sparco Computers, Inc. was recognized for its successful bid with a giant-size check signed by MCS and an official purchase order for the procurement of Kodak products.
